Safety noteYoga is not medical care. Stop if anything feels sharp, pinching or numb, and see a doctor or physiotherapist about pain or an injury before you practise. If you are pregnant or have recently given birth, check with your OB or midwife first. Hot and Bikram rooms are heated, often to 35 to 40°C: drink water, leave the room if you feel dizzy, and avoid heated classes in pregnancy. Ask your doctor first if you have a heart condition.
