How we verify studios
What it takes for a studio to be listed, and where every price on the site comes from.
A studio is listed only when we can confirm its name, location, yoga classes and a way to book from public sources, and see recent activity. Prices appear only when the studio or ClassPass publishes them, with a link to the source. Ratings are never shown or used.
Sources we use
- The studio's own website and its booking system (for example Rezerv, Mindbody or its own app).
- Its Google Maps listing, including whether Maps marks it closed.
- Its ClassPass page, where one exists.
- Its public Instagram or Facebook page, for recent posts and booking details. We never use anything behind a login.
What "verified" means
"Verified" means that in the month shown on the listing, we confirmed from at least one of these sources that the studio exists at that location, teaches yoga, and has been active in the last six months (a current schedule, a recent post, or a recent dated listing). Studios marked closed, quiet for six months or more, or that we cannot check through a website, booking page or social account are left out.
Dates
Every listing carries a verifiedAt month, shown as "Last checked". Prices are stated as of that month.
How prices are sourced
A price is shown only when the studio's own site, booking system or ClassPass publishes it, and the source link sits next to it. Of 177 listed studios, 44 publish a drop-in rate. Intro offers and sale prices are labelled as such and kept out of the averages in the Price Index. The price index dataset recomputes city medians from these sourced prices on every build, and the public fields of every listing are free to download as open studio data.
What we never do
- Show or use ratings or review counts.
- Rank studios by payment. No studio pays to be listed.
- Describe a class we did not see on the studio's own pages, or claim to have visited.
Yoga only
Studios that also teach pilates or barre are listed for their yoga classes. Pure pilates, barre and Lagree studios are not listed. Not affiliated with Yoga Philippines (yogaphilippines.org), the yoga school in Alabang.
Run a studio?
You can add or update your listing for free, and show the free featured studio badge on your site. We check every change against your public pages before it goes live. For anything else about a listing, get in touch.
Questions
Why does a studio show "rates on request"?
Because it does not publish its rates on its own site, booking system or ClassPass, and we only show prices we can source. Ask the studio directly, or tell us where the rates are published.
Does YogaPhilippines.com use Google ratings?
No. Ratings and review counts are never shown on the site and are never used to rank or choose studios.
How often are studio listings re-checked?
Each listing shows the month it was last checked. We re-check prices and links in batches, and update a listing sooner when a studio or reader reports a change.
