How to pick a yoga studio near you
Distance matters more than anything else. The studio you can walk to, or reach in one ride, is the one you will keep going to, so start with the nearest three and compare them on the things that decide whether a first class goes well.
Class times first. Check that the studio runs a class when you are actually free: before work, at lunch or after work. The early and late filters use each studio's opening hours; the class schedule on its own page has the final word.
A beginner door. If you are new, look for a studio that publishes a beginner, basics or fundamentals class (the Beginner-friendly filter), or a first-class offer. Hatha and slow flow suit most first-timers; heated rooms are best left until you know how your body handles the heat.
