Buying yoga class packs safely

Buy the smallest pack you will finish before it expires, and ask about freezes, refunds and branch transfers first. In Metro Manila, published 10-class packs last 4 weeks to 6 months, usually 2 months. A smaller pack limits what you can lose if a studio changes its timetable or closes.

How long do yoga class packs last in Manila?

Usually 2 months for 10 classes. Of the 17 regular 10-class packs published by Metro Manila studios we list, 15 state how long they last: from 4 weeks to 6 months, with a median of 2 months, as of October 2026. Ten classes in 2 months means about 1.2 classes a week.

Work out the classes a week you need to use a pack in time before you buy it. The studio cost planner does this for a named studio's packs, expiry included.

How do you avoid losing a package if a studio closes?

Keep your exposure small: buy a pack you will use within a month or two, pay in a way that leaves a record, and keep a screenshot of the terms. Watch for warning signs such as cancelled classes, a thinning timetable or slow replies. If the studio closes, ask in writing for a refund or a transfer.

  • Pay with a record. A card, e-wallet or bank transfer leaves a receipt with the date and amount; keep the booking app's confirmation too.
  • Screenshot the terms on the day you buy: the price, the number of classes, the expiry and any freeze or sharing rules.
  • Ask about other branches. A studio with several branches may let you use the pack elsewhere if one closes. Ask before you buy, not after.
  • Avoid big pre-paid bundles at a studio you have not tried for a few weeks, even when the per-class saving looks large.
  • If a studio closes, message the owner in writing, ask for a refund or transfer of unused classes, and keep the replies. If that fails, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) takes consumer complaints. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

How can you tell if a yoga studio is still open?

Check for recent activity before you pay: a timetable with classes this week, posts from the last few weeks and quick replies to messages. Every studio in our directory shows the month we last checked it on its own pages; the latest check was October 2026, and each listed studio was confirmed active at its own last check.

For 255 of the 258 studios we list, the profile notes the activity we saw when we checked, such as a bookable schedule or a recent post. If you find a studio has closed, tell us through the corrections page and we will re-check it. Studio pages are grouped by area in the yoga studio directory.

What should you ask before buying a class pack?

  1. How long is the pack valid, and does the clock start on purchase or on the first class?
  2. Can it be frozen for travel or illness, and for how long?
  3. Is there a refund, or a transfer to another person or branch, if you cannot use it?
  4. Which classes does it cover: all classes, or not workshops, heated or aerial sessions?
  5. What is the late-cancel and no-show rule: do you lose the class?
  6. What happens to unused classes if the studio moves, changes owner or closes?

Questions

Can you get a refund on an unused yoga class pack?

Usually not, unless the studio says so in writing. Our records from the studios' own pages hold no published refund policy for packs, so ask before you pay and keep the reply. If a studio cancels classes or closes, ask first for a refund or a transfer of the unused classes.

Can you freeze a yoga class pack while you travel?

Some studios allow a freeze for travel or illness, but our records from the studios' own pages hold no published freeze terms as of October 2026. Ask before you buy: how long a freeze can last, what proof is needed and whether it must be requested before the pack expires.

Can you share a yoga class pack with a friend?

Only if the studio says so. 4 of the class packs published by the studios we list say they are shareable, as of October 2026; most do not say. Ask whether a shared pack needs both names on the booking.
