Public yoga data API for the Philippines

Four static JSON files give the directory's public data to anyone who wants to build on it: 177 verified studios with published prices, 35 upcoming events, the Yoga Price Index and 85 poses. No key, no sign-up. The data is CC BY 4.0: credit YogaPhilippines.com with a link.

Licence and attribution

All four files are published under CC BY 4.0. You can use, share and adapt the data, including commercially, as long as you:

show the credit Data: YogaPhilippines.com (https://yogaphilippines.com/data/), CC BY 4.0 where the data appears (in an app, an about or credits screen is fine);
link to yogaphilippines.com/data/ (on the web, as a normal link), or link each studio to its profile URL;
say if you changed, filtered or combined the figures, and do not suggest that YogaPhilippines.com or any studio endorses your project.

Studios: /api/studios.json

Every verified studio in the directory with its public fields and published prices.

Upcoming public yoga events (past events drop off at each build).

The Yoga Price Index: published-price medians and ranges by area, with the dated price changelog.

The pose library: names, Sanskrit, type, level, a one-line cue and the line drawing.

In Google Sheets, =IMPORTDATA("https://yogaphilippines.com/data/yoga-studios-philippines.csv") loads the studio list as a sheet; the open data page has the CSV versions.

Rates, caching and changes

The files are static and served from a CDN, so there is no rate limit to hit. They change at most a few times a week: fetch once a day and cache the result rather than calling on every page view.
Responses carry an ETag, so a conditional request returns "304 Not Modified" when nothing has changed.
Field names are stable within version "1". New fields may be added; nothing is renamed or removed without a new version number.
Records drop out when a studio closes or an event passes. Use id to match records between fetches.
For updates as they happen, the feeds cover new events, new studios and new pages, and the weekly page lists each week's changes.

Where the data comes from

Every studio is checked against its own website, social accounts or ClassPass listing, as described in how we verify studios, and every price carries the URL where it was published. Questions

Do I need an API key for the YogaPhilippines.com data?

No. The API is a set of static JSON files on the site's CDN. Fetch them directly from a browser, a script or a spreadsheet; there is no key, sign-up or quota.

How often does the yoga data API change?

The files are rebuilt every time the site is, at least weekly when studios, prices and events are re-checked. The "generated" field gives the build date and "verifiedAt" the latest verification month.

What attribution does the CC BY 4.0 licence need?

Show the credit line "Data: YogaPhilippines.com (https://yogaphilippines.com/data/), CC BY 4.0" near where the data appears, with a link to yogaphilippines.com/data/, and say if you changed or combined the figures.
